A series of eight steel, aluminum and glass pendant lamps. The minimal design was achieved using folded black anodized aluminum plate, cradled within an etched slumped glass shell. A milled steel horizontal bar links these elements and the light bulb to the steel pipe used to conceal electrical wires and mount to the ceiling.

Lasercut cold roll steel plate shelf for BAR Architects lobby. The 11'-6" assembly is almost entirely mechanically fastened on site to allow for ease of transport and installation to the 3rd floor office. Counterbored low head socket cap screws fasten to tapped holes in the plate edges at each joint. The shelf secures to the wall via narrow brackets hidden above and below eye level.

The Reiser Nightstands are a marriage of custom groove-patterned and delicately patinated 1/4" bronze plate and blackened steel plate. The carefully composed boxes offer an open storage space within, and hover above a delicate steel solid bar frame with turned conical delrin feet.

These similar sculptural forms hold a strip of LED lights at thier ends, to double as functional lamps. They are each composed of milled, blackened and automotive-painted base, bent cold roll round tube neck, and a custom dimmer knob control module.

This solid walnut desk top hovers on painted backbone of laser cut plate ribs welded to a double-extra-strong steel pipe spine, with the spine ends embedded in the walls. Adjustable wire slots on either side of the work surface serve as a functional organizational detail.
A second desk has a 1/4" grained and polished stainless steel top.

Willis Table features a drop-leaf mahogany tabletop with aluminum bronze leg frame. The aluminum flat bar reveals itself through a 90 year old mahogany top and leaves, freshly milled for this use. The table top is complimented by custom silicon bronze hinges and retractable leaf supports below.

A sliding cantilevered countertop, the 3" deep quartz conceals a custom steel rail & roller bearing structure which allows the top to slide from side to side with minimal noise and effort. Soft positive brakes cushion the travel at end positions. Structural steel frame embedded in lower casework to support the additional weight and movement.

Our client needed a unique desk for her home office, while not seeing her 50 year old round German wood table just go to the landfill. We utilized the table to create a rectilinear storage level under the 3/8" plate steel top on the modern desk we created for her.
Custom mahogany, mild steel and marble help finish out a total renovation of an historic Chinatown 3-story residence in San Francisco.

In fabricating the WorkClub table, DDF repurposed six table legs previously fabricated for the client's bar. The blackened hot rolled angle legs were retrofitted with leveling feet. A formed hot rolled sheetmetal top provides ample surface area for the patrons of the WorkClub internet cafe.

A commission by Mike Stern and Kristina Rizga to make the best studio use of an unusually-shaped room in a San Francisco Victorian.
